The Kamas Valley History Group kicks off its new, quarterly program of lectures, with the story of Leo Frazier of Oakley, who was shot down over France in 1943, and sent to the infamous Stalug III prisoner of war camp.
Many will have heard of this camp because of the mass escape, immortalized by the 1963 Hollywood blockbuster “The Great Escape”.
Please join us in the Kamas Library on Main St, Kamas, at 2pm on Saturday Nov 13th, where Leo’s relative, Joe Frazier, tells the story of his ancestor’s exploits as a captured airman in WW2.
