Veterans know better than anyone else the price of freedom, for they’ve suffered the scars of war. We can offer them no better tribute than to protect what they have won for us.” Ronald Reagan

Each and everyone of us owe a debt of gratitude to those who have served their country. Some paid the ultimate sacrifice. Some walk amongst us, with tales to tell.

On this Veterans Day holiday, please click on the short video below, which is our humble attempt to honor some of those connected to this Valley.

We hope to broaden this list in the future, so if you have information or pictures of those we should add, please reach out to us.

We hope to use the information gathered over the next 12 months to create a documentary tribute to these special people, possibly in book-form.

We’d like to thank our member Kate Wynn for creating the slideshow, and Sheri-Kaye Leavitt of South Summit Middle School for the list of Valley service men and women, of which this is a subset. Many of the pictures came from Sheri-Kaye, or from family members, and we hope we’ve done the images justice, but some have inevitably suffered the test of time.
