On two dates, Saturday June 14th and Monday June 16th, 2024, Kamas Valley History Group will continue its quarterly program of Library Talks with a presentation on the surprising connections between Woodland and the infamous Butch Cassidy and his gang, the Wild Bunch.

Made famous by the Hollywood film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Katherine Ross, their story has been revitalized by fresh evidence and history published in new books.

We’ll explain some of the known connections, such as Matt Warner, and explore the myths and lore that have featured in these new books on the gang and their followers.

The first presentation will form part of the Gateway to Summer celebration, and take place in the Event center at 4pm. We’ll repeat the presentation on Monday in the Kamas Library, starting at 6.30pm.
